Fifty and Full of Joy: A Note from Margot’s Co-Founder

This month, (well actually tomorrow) I turn 50.

It’s one of those milestones that sneaks up on you—and yet somehow, it also feels like a long time coming. In the past, I might’ve expected this age to feel heavy or daunting. But now that I’m here? It feels light. Joyful, even. A place of clarity, of knowing who I am and what really matters.

Here’s how I know I’m 50:

I no longer sweat the small stuff. I don’t chase perfection. I love my laugh lines and the stories they tell. I choose peace over proving. And I value presence over pressure.

I’ve been lucky to build a life I love—with my husband, my children, and the people who make up my little world. My family means everything to me. They ground me and inspire me daily. So does the business I’ve nurtured and grown with my Mum. Margot isn’t just a brand—it’s an extension of the values I hold close: natural, connection, wellbeing, and the beauty of living simply, fully.

I don’t have time for surface-level anymore. I crave real conversations, deep belly laughs, slow mornings, wholesome food, and soul-filling moments with my friends. Wellness, to me, isn’t a green juice or a yoga class (although I love both!)—it’s choosing joy, setting boundaries, honouring rest, and loving yourself through all your seasons.

If there’s one thing I know for sure at 50, it’s this: Life is too short to be lived on autopilot. I want to be awake for it. Grateful for it. Inspired by it.

So here’s to this next chapter.
To staying curious, keeping it real, and always choosing joy.
